The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed two national players, including kicker Dante Brown and defensive lineman Donovan Glave.
The 24-year-old Brown spent 2021 with the Elks on their practice roster after originally being selected by Edmonton in the fifth round, 41st overall during the 2020 CFL Draft. The five-foot-10, 185-pound native of Mississauga, ON played three seasons at Fort Hays State University (2017-2019), converting 47-of-56 field goal attempts (83.9 percent) with a career long of 56 yards.
The 25-year-old Glave played 16 games over two seasons at McMaster University (2019-2021), registering 52 tackles, five tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one recovered fumble. The six-foot-two, 297-pound native of Brampton, ON also played 25 games over three seasons at Mount Allison University (2015-2018) registering 64.5 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and one forced fumble before transferring to McMaster in 2019.
