CFL defensive back Monshadrik ‘Money’ Hunter worked out for the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday.

The six-foot-one, 193-pound cover man is at a prime age, 26, to attract NFL interest along with his size.

Hunter is a pending free agent in Canada after playing the 2021 season with the Montreal Alouettes. He started all 14 games during the shortened regular season, recording 44 tackles, two interceptions and one sack.

Hunter played for the Edmonton Football Team in 2019, finishing third on the green and gold with 59 defensive tackles, while knocking down five passes, intercepting two others and registering one sack. The Prosper, TX native has played 44 games in the CFL, amassing 129 defensive tackles, six interceptions, six knockdowns, two sacks and recovered one fumble.

With the Arkansas State University Red Wolves, Hunter established a new Sun Belt Conference record, returning four interceptions for touchdowns. In 59 games at the NCAA level, he made 222 tackles, including 142 solo tackles, while intercepting six passes and registering one sack. He also defended 11 passes, forced two fumbles and recovered as many.

Hunter has athletic genes from his dad Torii who was a five-time Major League Baseball all-star centre fielder during his 19-year career while earning over $171 million.
