Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris may be ready to make his return to action in Sunday’s West Final against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but we won’t know until kickoff.

The Bombers released their depth chart Saturday with Harris in the starting role, but he was denoted as a game-time decision. Harris practiced fully on Wednesday, but was limited on Thursday and sat out on Friday.

The star running back hasn’t seen the field since he suffered a knee injury against the Edmonton Elks in mid-October. The injury took place on a five-yard touchdown reception shortly after he broke the plane in a 26-16 victory.

Head coach Mike O’Shea had been noncommittal about Harris’ availability for the postseason, suggesting last week that it was still too early to determine whether or not he would be healthy enough to play.

Harris was his usual self in seven starts this season, rushing for 623 yards on 116 attempts (5.4 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 116 yards and one score.

Canadian backups Brady Oliveira and Johnny Augustine played well during the regular season while Harris was injured, rushing for a combined 714 yards on 134 attempts (5.3 yards per carry). Oliveira started Winnipeg’s first three games of the season while Harris was out with a calf injury before Oliveira and Augustine combined to start the last four.

Winnipeg will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders following their defeat of the Calgary Stampeders in the West Semi-Final by a score of 33-30. The Blue Bombers won both of the regular season contests between the two teams by a combined score of 56-17.
