The Toronto Argonauts have signed veteran Canadian linebacker Alexandre Chevrier.
The 28-year-old dressed for four games with the Montreal Alouettes to start the season and made two special teams tackles. He was released last week before being scooped up by the Double Blue on Monday.
Chevrier was selected in the seventh round of the 2017 CFL Draft out of Sherbrooke by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He played two seasons with the Green and White, recording 28 special teams tackles.
The veteran should provide the Argos with some extra depth on defence and special teams.
