The Saskatchewan Roughriders have scratched defensive tackle Micah Johnson for the Labour Day Classic due to an ankle injury.

The 33-year-old missed practice on Wednesday and Friday this week and was considered questionable to dress for Sunday’s game.

Saskatchewan added rookie defensive tackle Anthony Lanier II to the active roster and he should see a substantial role due to Johnson’s absence. Johnson has started all three of the team’s games to date this season alongside rookie Garrett Marino, recording two tackles.
