The Philadelphia Eagles have waived former Calgary Stampeders’ receiver Marken Michel.

The 28-year-old joined the team earlier this month when he was waived by the Carolina Panthers.

The Massachusetts product spent two seasons with Calgary (2017-2018) and recorded 72 receptions for 1,215 yards and eight touchdowns in 24 games. He parlayed that success with the Stampeders into a deal with the Eagles, initially signing with the team in January 2019.

Waived amid training camp cuts, Michel spent a portion of the season on the Eagles’ practice roster. He signed a future/reserve contract to remain with the team in 2020, but was released in April.

The five-foot-eleven, 190-pound receiver joined the Panthers in August 2020 and made the team’s practice roster after training camp. He played his first regular season NFL game last year but did not register a statistic.
