The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed offensive lineman Travis Vornkahl.

He has been added to the suspended list while completing his quarantine period.

The 25-year-old Vornkahl spent time on the Ticats off-season roster earlier this year prior to the start of training camp.

He previously attended training camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2019 before stints with three NFL teams, including the Cleveland Browns (2019), Washington Football Team (2019) and Indianapolis Colts (2019-2020).

The 6-6, 298-pound native of Sealy, Texas played 32 games at both guard and tackle for West Texas A&M University over three seasons (2016-18). Vornkahl was named to the Second Team All-Lone Star Conference in 2018 and received All-Conference Honourable Mentions in 2016 and 2017 with the Buffaloes.

Vornkahl joins the Ticats as the black and gold try to shore up an offensive line that has allowed lots of pressure on quarterback Jeremiah Masoli during an 0-2 start to the 2021 CFL season.
