The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released eight players, including national linebacker Robbie Lowes.
The Regina product was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 CFL Draft. The former CJFL defender recorded 76 total tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception in 16 games with the Rams.
At six-foot-one and 210 pounds, Lowes was looking to make an impact at linebacker or safety as well as on special teams.
The Blue Bombers also released the following seven American players: offensive lineman Dino Boyd; defensive back Ranthony Texada; defensive back Sam Williams; defensive back Hakeem Bailey; defensive back Jhavonte Dean; defensive back Prince Robinson; and defensive back Josh Allen.
