Saskatchewan Huskies sign University of Oregon transfer, Canadian LB Nick Wiebe

The University of Saskatchewan has earned the commitment of former University of Oregon linebacker Nick Wiebe.

Wiebe decided to transfer from the power five NCAA Division I program. The Calgary native spent three seasons at Oregon, dressing for the Ducks in 2018 and 2020 with a redshirt year in between.

The six-foot-one, 230 pound linebacker played in four games for the Ducks making eight total tackles, five solo and three assisted. Wiebe had his best game in the 2021 Fiesta Bowl against the No. 10 ranked Iowa State University Cyclones, notching six total tackles, four solo and two assisted.

Prior to accepting a scholarship at Oregon, Weibe played two seasons for IMG Academy in Florida, including an undefeated regular season campaign in 2017 when he made 29 tackles and two tackles for loss.
