The Montreal Alouettes can’t get out of their own way.
The Als sent out a list of cuts – put together by the team – and offensive lineman Xavier Fulton’s name was among them. Fulton played five games for Montreal last season, re-signed before free agency and appeared to be the starter at left tackle headed in 2018, so when his name was under the released category it was a surprise.
However, Montreal issued a correction that Fulton had indeed NOT been let go.
At 10 am, the Alouettes announced OL Xavier Fulton had been cut. At 10:38 am, they announced Fulton was “was mistakenly included” in the cut list. #Forensics #CSIMontreal

It appeared as if another team was ready to bring in Fulton quickly.
And there was a team about to call Xavier Fulton’s agent, I’ve just been told

Just another day of dysfunction for the Alouettes.
