American receiver Nik Lewis and national counterpart Rob Bagg had a Twitter exchange regarding Canadian players in the CFL.
Both are veterans and brought up valid points on different sides of the debate on whether to add, maintain or reduce the number of nationals on rosters and if it would benefit the CFL overall or not.
Of cfl players want more money u have to charge fans more, and then u have to put out a better product, cutting Canadian spots will help That. Owners make more, players make more, fans pay more for better product.

If cutting Canadians would increase ticket sales wouldn't you think the Bills would have had larger crowds when they played in TO? Often hear about the advantages of being Canadian but how about the disadvantages. https://t.co/qVu117xyHB

@R_Bagg6 that's 1 statement of 1,000, it was meant as better product. Not about getting rid of Canadians. Do u think some players should play 8 yrs pro football just because they are Canadian. I love ur game and how u play. Westerman, SINOP, Andrew, Alex Sing, Fantuz, and more

I agree with opportunity in gameplan but every Canadian on roster couldn't and there are guys that have played 8 yrs and never been considered to start on O or D. That's y I feel like 4 is a good ratio number. Doesn't mean a team can't use more if they have more.

I understand that. Ur uber talented, do u think it would change that much over 3 players?
— Nik Lewis (🐝, 🐝) 1126 (@nikel18) December 8, 2017
I would think it could go either way. You look at it like they have to start 7 Cans….I see it like they have to start 17 Americans…difference of perspective I guess… https://t.co/MPTGVrtPc2

Let me be clear.
1) @nike18 is a HOFer 2) he's promoting OUR game @CFL. So keep the CFL buzz and conversation going! It's all good!

Having this conversation has people thinking I'm against Canadians playing or their skill level. I want to start a Canadian Travel Flag team that allows Canadian kids to compete against Americans and help with exposure. I'm looking for solutions not just talking

Any discussions focused on improving the league as a whole are worth the time.
