Trevor Harris, Mike Rose named top CFL performers for October by PFF

Saskatchewan Roughriders teammates Trevor Harris and Mike Rose have been named the CFL’s top performers for the month of October by Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Harris completed 82.2 percent of his pass attempts for 793 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interception over three games this month to earn a grade of 91.5. In Week 19, Harris completed 79.3 percent of his passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns. This marks the veteran’s second player of the month selection. He has also been named to PFF’s weekly honour roll five times.

The two honourable mentions on offence are B.C. Lions’ quarterback Nathan Rourke (91.2) and Calgary Stampeders’ running back Dedrick Mills (84.1).

Rose recorded one defensive tackle and one sack during the month of October, earning a grade of 90.4, and finished the year with 17 defensive tackles, six sacks, and one forced fumble. The defender was twice named to PFF’s weekly honour roll.

The two honourable mentions on defence are Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ defensive lineman Julian Howsare (89.9) and B.C. Lions’ defensive lineman Levi Bell (87.2).

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers had the highest-graded offensive line of the month, earning a group grade of 75.5. The top-scoring individual was left tackle Stanley Bryant (76.2), followed by centre Chris Kolankowski (74.3) and tight end Asotui Eli (71.5).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
