3DownNation power rankings: Calgary on the come up
Just when some pundits were writing Calgary off following a loss in Montreal, the Stampeders displayed championship resolve while beating Saskatchewan in Week 18.
That victory has the white horses racing back up the rankings. Calgary controls their fate for the West Division title and it’s brought the backers back on board the bandwagon.
The power rankings are done by having 3Down contributors rank each team from No. 1 to No. 9. The team with the fewest “points” gets the top ranking with each subsequent club receiving rankings two through nine. The previous week’s rankings are listed in brackets.
- Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1)
The Ticats didn’t even have to clinch the East Division regular season title on the field. It would have happened eventually anyway as Orlondo Steinauer has the black and gold pointed towards a franchise record for single-season wins.

Bo Levi Mitchell delivered in the clutch, again. And got the best of the Riders, again.
3. Saskatchewan Roughriders (3)
The Riders chances of a division crown took a downturn, but there are scenarios where Saskie can top the West.
