According to Johnny Manziel ‘s agent Erik Burkhardt there is “very real interest” from NFL teams after seeing Manziel practice and play in two Spring League games.
Manziel went 9 of 15 for 83 yards and one touchdown in the first Spring League game.
In game two Manziel completed 10 of 16 passes for 188 yards with an interception while adding 27 yards and two touchdowns on six rushes.
“If it’s meant to be it will be, and if not (in the NFL) I’ll find a place to play football somewhere – wherever that may be,” Manziel told the Houston Chronicle.
Might that place be New England. Manziel wore a Patriots hoodie recently prompting plenty of speculation.
I heard from someone I trust who says there are internal discussions going on right now in Foxboro about the possibility of inviting Johnny Football to camp.
The Ticats own Manziel’s CFL negotiation list rights and Hamilton had general manager Eric Tillman at The Spring League to watch the celebrity quarterback.
