DB Imoan Claiborne: Redblacks time has officially come to and end

Published on

American defensive back Imoan Claiborne appears to have been released by the Ottawa Redblacks, according to his Instagram.

He got called for pass interference on Bryant Mitchell at Ottawa’s 10-yard line, which resulted in a 36-yard penalty, that led to Edmonton’s go-ahead and ultimately game-winning touchdown on Thursday as the Redblacks fell to 1-6-1.

The 25-year-old was originally signed in February 2016 by the Redblacks. Claiborne played in 12 games making 40 tackles, four special teams tackles and one interception – that came against the Eskimos – during his time with Ottawa.
