The Edmonton Elks have agreed to terms with American offensive lineman Jordan Murray, sources have confirmed to 3DownNation. Barring anything unforeseen, he’s expected to sign with the team. TSN’s Farhan Lalji was the first to report.
Murray spent much of the 2025 season sidelined with a knee injury or listed as a healthy scratch, but made five starts at left tackle for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He took back the starting job for the final three weeks of the regular season and the playoffs when he replaced Brendan Bordner, who also reportedly agreed to terms with Edmonton on Sunday.
The 28-year-old first joined the Ticats in 2021, making nine starts as a rookie. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022 and spent the season on the practice roster. He was waived during training camp in 2023 and returned to Hamilton midway through the year, making 18 starts over the next two seasons.
The six-foot-nine, 325-pound blocker attended the University of North Texas, where he appeared in 43 games and made 34 starts with the Mean Green.
Pending CFL free agents can negotiate with teams across the league during the communication window, which closes on Sunday, February 8. Players can agree to terms on a contract with a particular franchise; however, the deals are not legally binding and can’t be made official until after free agency opens on Tuesday, February 10.
