The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive back Donovan Olumba to a one-year contract extension, tying him to the team through 2024. He was a pending free agent.

The six-foot-two, 205-pound defender played three games this past season, starting each of them at field-side cornerback. He recorded three tackles.

The 28-year-old native of Nashville, Tenn. signed with the team in 2022 and appeared in two regular season games and made one interception.

The Portland State product went unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft before spending time with the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

CFL free agency gets underway at noon EST on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
