The Canada West university conference unveiled their all-star selections for the 2022 season, headlined by University of Saskatchewan quarterback and Hec Crighton Trophy favourite Mason Nyhus.
Nyhus led the conference in passing yards by a landslide, pushing up into the top five all-time for a single season by throwing for 2,759 yards, 18 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He was one of four unanimous selections for the all-star honours, joined by Saskatchewan kicker David Solie, Regina defensive end Anthony Bennett, and UBC offensive tackle Theo Benedet.
The 7-1 Huskies boasted 10 selections between the defensive, offensive and special teams all-star rosters, leading all schools. The UBC Thunderbirds posted the second-most selections with six, followed closely by Regina with five.
The all-stars release comes as teams prepare for the Hardy Cup semifinals on Saturday.
