Canadian defensive back Pierre Kemeni Jr. performed for scouts at Ohio University’s pro day on Wednesday.

According to sources, the native of Milton, Ont. recorded 17 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, ran a 4.63-second forty-yard dash, 4.25-second shuttle, 7.19-second three-cone drill, leapt 34.5 inches in the vertical jump, and a ten-foot, three-inch broad jump.

Kemeni Jr. would have tied for first on the bench press among defensive backs at the 2025 CFL Combine in Regina. He also would have placed sixth in the forty-yard dash.

The six-foot-one, 212-pound defender projects as a safety, strong-side linebacker, or weak-side linebacker in the CFL. He played 190 snaps on special teams at Ohio in 2025, which could help his stock as teams look for players who can contribute on special teams in the mid-rounds of the draft.

Kemeni Jr. played 12 games for the Bobcats last year, recording nine total tackles. He contributed primarily on special teams. He started his collegiate career at Ohio, dressing for 12 games over his first two seasons and making 13 total tackles and one pass knockdown.

The 24-year-old spent the 2022 seasons at Texas State University before transferring to Garden City Community College in 2023, where he was a teammate of Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Ajou Ajou. In 2024, he dressed for 10 games at the University of New Mexico where he made two total tackles.

Kemeni Jr. is cousins with Jett Elad, who is the top-ranked defensive back in the scouting bureau rankings. The two were teammates at Ohio in 2020 and 2021.

The 2026 CFL Draft is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
