WHL’s Swift Current Broncos honour Saskatchewan Roughriders’ Grey Cup victory with crossover jersey

The Swift Current Broncos wore new duds when they faced the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night, paying tribute to the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ 2025 Grey Cup victory.

The specialty crossover uniforms, which were worn on Fan Appreciation Night with the Grey Cup and CFL champions in attendance, feature the Riders logo on the chest with green and white wheat sheaves on the sleeves.

All fans in attendance were entered into a free raffle to receive one of the unique jerseys. Additional raffles and jersey auctions will also be available at a cost.

Swift Current is the sixth-largest municipality in Saskatchewan, located two and a half hours west of Regina. The Broncos are one of five Western Hockey League franchises located in the province, along with the Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades, Moose Jaw Warriors, and Prince Albert Raiders.

The Roughriders finished first in the West Division standings in 2025 with a 12-6 record, finishing first in the West Division for the first time since 2019. The team went on to defeat the Montreal Alouettes in the 112th Grey Cup in Winnipeg, marking the team’s first championship in 12 years.

The Broncos lost 4-1 and are currently in last place in the WHL, with a 14-44-4-5 record.
