One of the top defensive players in U Sports football has transferred down south as Jordan Lessard is heading to Colorado State University.
The 22-year-old has spent the last three seasons at Université Laval, where he’s earned two first-team U Sports All-Canadian selections, three RSEQ all-star selections, the RSEQ Rookie of the Year award, and won one Vanier Cup.
The six-foot-two, 200-pound defender made 10 total tackles, two interceptions, and one pass breakup in 2025.
Colorado State competes in the Mountain West Conference of the NCAA. The team went 2-10 during the 2025 season.
