Hamilton Tiger-Cats lock up All-CFL offensive lineman Brandon Revenberg

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian offensive lineman Brandon Revenberg to a one-year contract extension, keeping him with the team for 2026.

The 33-year-old started all 18 games at left guard during the 2025 season, earning All-CFL and East Division All-CFL honours for the fifth and sixth time in his career, respectively. He was also named the East Division’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman for the fourth time (2018, 2021, 2022, 2025).

“Brandon has been one of the most consistent and reliable players in this league for years,” head coach Scott Milanovich said in a statement. “His work ethic, toughness, and leadership define what it means to be a Tiger-Cat. He’s a cornerstone of our core group and someone our young players can lean on. Having him back is huge for our organization.”

Originally selected third overall by the Tiger-Cats in the first round of the 2016 CFL Draft, Revenberg has appeared in 156 career games over nine seasons. The six-foot-four, 300-pound native of Essex, Ont., is one of the most decorated offensive linemen of the 21st century and has missed just two games over his CFL career, never due to injury.

“Hamilton has been home for a long time, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to come back for another season,” Revenberg said in a statement. “This organization, this locker room, and this city mean a lot to me. I still feel a strong responsibility to lead, to set the standard up front, and to do everything I can to help this team win. I’m excited to get back to work and continue building something special here.”

Collegiately, Revenberg attended Grand Valley State University, where he appeared in 32 games for the Lakers.

Hamilton finished first in the East Division standings in 2025 with an 11-7 record, though the team lost the East Final to the Montreal Alouettes. Bo Levi Mitchell led the CFL with 5,296 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions after starting all 18 regular-season games, earning the East Division’s nomination for Most Outstanding Player.

The Tiger-Cats ranked third in net offence, eighth in net defence, and first with a turnover differential of plus-ten. The team’s leading rusher was Greg Bell with 1,038 yards, the leading receiver was Kenny Lawler with 1,443 yards, and the leading tackler was Stavros Katsantonis with 69 tackles. Hamilton ranked fourth in attendance with average crowds of 22,858, which was a 3.9 percent increase from the previous year.
