Canadian offensive lineman Logan Taylor invited to East-West Shrine Bowl

Canadian offensive lineman Logan Taylor has accepted an invitation to attend the East-West Shrine Bowl college all-star game, the first step in his journey towards the 2026 NFL Draft.

Taylor has spent the past three seasons at Boston College, where he has been a team captain and a versatile piece in the trenches. He has started 36 games for the Eagles — 17 at left tackle, 10 at left guard, eight at right guard, and one at right tackle — earning second-team All-ACC recognition in 2025, as well as honourable mentions in 2023 and 2024.

The six-foot-seven, 312-pound blocker began his collegiate career at the University of Virginia, where he appeared in 12 games over two seasons and made 10 starts at tackle. He finished secondary school at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., in order to attract NCAA offers.

The native of Lunenburg, N.S., was the second-rated prospect on the CFL’s fall Scouting Bureau rankings, but is expected to receive significant attention from NFL teams due to his size and pedigree.

The oldest college football all-star game in existence, thousands of East-West Shrine Bowl alumni have gone on to play in the NFL over the past century, including 78 who are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Quarterback Kurtis Rourke was the only Canadian invited to the game in 2025, though he was unable to participate due to a knee injury.

The Shrine Bowl previously invited between one and three players from U Sports to attend the game every year, though that program was discontinued in 2024.

The 101st East-West Shrine Bowl is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, January 27, at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Tex. — the practice facility of the Dallas Cowboys.
