Regina Rams’ RB Marshall Erichsen headlines 2025 Canada West all-star selections

Canada West unveiled its 2025 all-star team on Friday, headlined by one of the nation’s top running backs.

Marshall Erichsen was one of a conference-leading 11 Regina Rams who made the cut after he set a new program record with 11 rushing touchdowns. The third-year man finished second in the nation with 1,026 yards this year, averaging 128.3 per game for the defending Hardy Cup champions.

Regina’s running back takes top billing as the quarterback position was split between two veteran pivots. Saskatchewan’s Anton Amundrud took home a share of the vote despite playing just five games, throwing for an average of 328.2 yards per outing with 14 touchdowns and no interceptions. He shared that distinction with Manitoba’s Jackson Tachinski, who returned to school for a second selection after spending training camp with the Edmonton Elks as a receiver.

Among the selections were four 2025 CFL Draft picks who returned to school to exhaust their eligibility. Manitoba guard Matt Stokman was a seventh-round pick of the Calgary Stampeders, Saskatchewan receiver Daniel Wiebe was an eighth-round pick of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Saskatchewan linebacker Seth Hundeby also went in the fourth round to the Riders, and Calgary cornerback Gideon Agyei was a sixth-round pick of the same team.
