The Edmonton Elks missed the playoffs for a fifth-straight season after finishing at the bottom of the West Division standings with a 7-11 record.
The team went 6-5 over its last 11 games, but was ultimately thwarted by a 1-6 start. Cody Fajardo helped secure the offensive side of the ball after taking over the starting role from Tre Ford, while the team’s defence showed considerable improvement during the second half of the season.
Fajardo will likely be Edmonton’s top free-agent priority, though there are plenty of other marquee contributors set to hit the open market in February.
Here is the full list of 22 players whose contracts will expire in February. Please note that “N” denotes nationals (ie. Canadians), “A” denotes Americans, and “G” denotes Globals.
