Laval quarterback Arnaud Desjardins headlines 2025 RSEQ All-Stars

Published on

The RSEQ (Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec) has unveiled its all-star team for the 2025 season, headlined by Laval quarterback Arnaud Desjardins.

The fifth-year pivot, who was one of 13 members of the Rouge et Or to make the squad, was crowned the conference’s top passer for the third time in his career. He completed a national best 75.6 percent of his passes through seven games for 1,873 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions, but remains a controversial pick after finishing behind Montreal QB Pepe Gonzalez in terms of total yards and touchdowns.

Along with Desjardins, three 2024 CFL draft picks made the team after returning to school for their final year of eligibility: McGill centre Domenico Piazza, who was taken in the fifth round by the Edmonton Elks; Laval receiver Isaac Gaillardetz, who went in the sixth round to the Montreal Alouettes; and Montreal defensive end Gabriel Maisonneuve, who was selected in the fifth round by the Alouettes.
