Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign three, including veteran kicker Michael Domagala

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American receiver Moochie Dixon, Canadian defensive lineman Kail Dava, and Canadian kicker Michael Domagala to the practice roster.

Dixon played three collegiate seasons at Southern Methodist University where he caught 74 passes for 1,205 yards and eight touchdowns over 40 games. The six-foot, 187-pound native of Carthage, Texas previously played at the University of Texas where he made 12 catches for 176 yards and one score over two years. The 24-year-old recently had a stint with the New Orleans Saints.

Dava was a fifth-round pick in the 2024 CFL Draft by the B.C. Lions, who later recorded three defensive tackles with the Calgary Stampeders that same year, though he was cut by the Stampeders at the conclusion of training camp in 2025. The six-foot-three, 281-pound native of Barrie, Ont. played 48 collegiate games at Tennessee Tech, recording 87 total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble.

Domagala played for the Tiger-Cats in 2021 and 2022 when he connected on 19-of-26 field goal attempts (73.1 percent). The native of St. Catharines, Ont. was a member of the Ottawa Redblacks in 2023 when he made eight-of-nine field goal attempts (88.9 percent). The 30-year-old has also been a member of the Edmonton Elks and Montreal Alouettes, though he never saw regular-season action with either club.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (11-7) finished atop the East Division standings and are currently awaiting the winner of the East Semi-Final between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-8) and Montreal Alouettes (10-8).
