CFL changes start times for East, West Semi-Final to avoid World Series

The Canadian Football League has tweaked its playoff schedule on Saturday, November 1 to avoid a potential conflict with Game 7 in the World Series.

The East Semi-Final, which was originally scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, will now be played one hour earlier at 2 p.m. ET. The West Semi-Final, which was initially set for 6:30 p.m. ET, will now start at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The Toronto Blue Jays qualified for the World Series for the first time in 32 years after defeating the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series. The Jays now face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series with the schedule as follows:

The CFL indicated to 3DownNation its new times for the East and West Semi-Finals will remain even if the World Series does not reach Game 7.

The start times for the East and West Finals, which are scheduled at 3 p.m. ET and 6:30 p.m. ET, respectively, on Saturday, November 8, will proceed as normal.
