B.C. Lions QB Nathan Rourke named CFL’s top performer for Week 20 by PFF

B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 20 by Pro Football Focus (PFF).

The 27-year-old completed 21-of-32 pass attempts for 338 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in his team’s 37-24 win over the Edmonton Elks. He also ran the ball three times for 82 yards and one score, which was named 3DownNation‘s play of the week.

Rourke has now thrown for 4,922 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions, and ran for 559 yards and 10 scores this season.

The top-graded defensive player of the week was B.C. Lions defensive lineman Levi Bell, who recorded one defensive tackle and one sack. The rookie earned a grade of 90.0, including a score of 83.7 on 30 pass rush attempts.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers had the highest-graded offensive line of the week with a group score of 74.6. Left tackle Stanley Bryant earned the best individual grade (74.7) followed by centre Chris Kolankowski (72.8) and right tackle Kendall Randolph (71.4).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible, and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
