Official: Saskatchewan Roughriders sign QB Tommy Stevens

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have officially signed American quarterback Tommy Stevens. 3DownNation reported the agreement during the CFL’s negotiation window.

The six-foot-five, 245-pound native of Indianapolis, Ind. rushed 60 times for 237 yards and 10 touchdowns with the Calgary Stampeders in 2024 as their short-yardage specialist.

The 28-year-old spent three years with the team, rushing for 685 yards and 25 touchdowns and completing 11 of 20 pass attempts for 82 yards and one score. He has yet to start a CFL regular-season game under centre.

According to data Stevens posted to his social media account, he has converted on 60-of-62 career third-down sneak attempts, a success rate of 97 percent.

Collegiately, Stevens played at Penn State and Purdue, throwing for 1,459 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions and rushing for 887 yards and 12 scores.
