Official: Edmonton Elks sign Canadian receiver Tyson Middlemost

The Edmonton Elks have officially signed Canadian receiver Tyson Middlemost to a one-year contract. 3DownNation reported the agreement during the CFL’s recent free-agent negotiation window.

The six-foot-one, 205-pound target appeared in 17 games with the Calgary Stampeders last season, catching three passes for 43 yards. The native of Dundas, Ont. also notched nine special teams tackles.

The 27-year-old dressed for 46 games over four seasons in Calgary. He caught eight passes for 87 yards while recording 29 special teams tackles.

Middlemost was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. Over 26 collegiate games with the Marauders, he made 83 receptions for 1,032 yards and seven touchdowns.
