The B.C. Lions have signed Canadian receiver Rysen John.

The six-foot-seven, 220-pound target spent the past two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, making four catches for 19 yards over 17 regular-season games.

The 27-year-old was originally a third-round pick in the 2020 CFL Draft but spent the first three years of his professional career in the NFL as a member of the New York Giants and Chicago Bears at tight end. He didn’t see any regular-season action with either team.
