The Saskatchewan Roughriders have agreed to terms with Calgary Stampeders quarterback Tommy Stevens, per sources.
The six-foot-five, 245-pound passer has proven to be an excellent short-yardage quarterback in the CFL, rushing for 685 yards and 25 scores over 52 career games.
The Indianapolis, Ind. native has also completed 11 of 20 career pass attempts for 82 yards and one touchdown.
Pending free agents can negotiate with teams across the league during the current window, which closes on February 9. Players can agree to terms on a contract with a particular team for 2025, however, these deals aren’t legally binding and can’t be finalized or made official until after free agency opens on February 11.
