The Ottawa Redblacks have inked long snapper Peter Adjey to a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the team through 2026.

Adjey was acquired via trade from the Edmonton Elks ahead of the 2024 campaign, with the Redblacks sending a third-round pick in exchange. The 25-year-old has suited up in all 15 games this season and made a pair of special teams tackles.

A product of Queens University, Adjey was drafted in the third round, 28th overall by Edmonton in the 2022 CFL Draft. The Toronto native earned a starting role during that year’s training camp and went on to appear in all 18 games in both 2022 and 2023, recording a total of five special teams tackles and a fumble recovery.

The Ottawa Redblacks (8-6-1) will visit the Montreal Alouettes (11-3-1) on Thanksgiving Monday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
