The Toronto Argonauts have signed American defensive backs Delonte Hood and Bryce Hampton to contracts for 2025.
Hood went unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft before stints with the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Arizona Cardinals. He had a stint on Denver’s practice roster in 2022 but never dressed for a regular season game with the team.
The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Washington, D.C. played collegiately at Glenville State University, a Division II program located in West Virginia, the University of Toledo, and Peru State College. He was named first-team All-Conference in 2019.
Hampton finished his collegiate career at Purdue University in 2022, making 42 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and three pass knockdowns. He was recently named the Defensive Player of the Year in the Indoor Football League as a member of the Vegas Knight Hawks.
The Argonauts (8-7) will visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-6) on Friday, Oct. 11 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
