The Toronto Argonauts have released American receiver Justin Marshall.
The six-foot-three, 213-pound target signed with the team late last season and made their practice roster after training camp earlier this year but never dressed for a regular season game.
The 25-year-old native of Conyers, Ga. spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft but didn’t make either team’s final roster.
Marshall made 36 catches for 544 yards and one touchdown over 31 collegiate games at the University of Louisville. He transferred to the University at Buffalo for his senior year and made 64 receptions for 837 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Argonauts (8-7) will visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (10-6) on Friday, Oct. 8 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
