The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have brought back Canadian defensive lineman Benoit Marion.
The 28-year-old dressed for nine games with the team earlier this year, making six special teams tackles. He was released in September after being demoted to the practice roster.
The six-foot-five, 250-pound defender first signed with the Tiger-Cats near the start of the regular season after being released from the Toronto Argonauts. Marion made one defensive tackle, nine special teams tackles, two forced fumbles, and one sack over 16 games with Toronto in 2023, serving in a depth role.
The native of Montreal was a third-round pick of the Alouettes in the 2020 CFL Draft but was released before his rookie season got underway. He joined the Argonauts as a free agent shortly thereafter and won a Grey Cup with the team in 2022.
The Tiger-Cats (6-9) will host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-6) on Friday, Oct. 4 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
