The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American receivers Isaiah Wooden and Daniel Arias.

Wooden signed with the B.C. Lions last month but was released by the team on Monday. The five-foot-nine, 170-pound target has also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers since going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The 24-year-old native of San Diego, Calif. played his final two collegiate seasons at Southern Utah University where he made 100 receptions for 1,726 yards and 20 touchdowns over two collegiate seasons. Wooden also returned 14 kicks for 386 yards and was named All-United Athletic Conference in 2023. He reportedly ran a 4.38-second forty-yard dash at his pro day and leaped 44.5 inches in the vertical jump.

Arias has spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs since going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft but never dressed for a regular season game with either team.

The 26-year-old native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic played 53 collegiate games at the University of Colorado where he made 48 catches for 750 yards and four touchdowns.

Hamilton also released American receivers Jordan Byrd and Jalon Calhoun.

Byrd dressed for two games with the Tiger-Cats, returning five punts for 45 yards and five kickoff returns for 117 yards. The five-foot-nine, 170-pound target was previously a member of the Toronto Argonauts and Pittsburgh Steelers after playing collegiately at San Diego State where he rushed for 1,353 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught 47 passes for 219 yards and one touchdown.

Calhoun joined the team’s practice roster last month and didn’t dress for any regular season games. The 23-year-old signed with the Detroit Lions after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft but didn’t make the club’s final roster.

The five-foot-eleven, 195-pound native of Greensville, S.C. played 61 collegiate games at Duke University where he made 253 catches for 3,026 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also returned 26 kicks for 258 yards.
