The Montreal Alouettes have released Canadian kicker Michael Domagala following a six-week run on the practice roster.

The native of St. Catharines, Ont. spent time with the Ottawa Redblacks in 2023, suiting up for five games with the team late in the season. He went eight-for-nine on his field goal attempts, replacing Lewis Ward after he suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

Domagala spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons as a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He played 17 games in 2022, connecting on 12-of-16 field goal attempts, punting 65 times for an average of 44.4 yards, and averaging 66.6 yards on kickoffs. He was also briefly on Edmonton’s practice roster to start the 2023 season.
