Ottawa Redblacks sign veteran CFL receiver Rasheed Bailey

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed veteran receiver Rasheed Bailey.

Bailey was released by the Toronto Argonauts in late July. The six-foot-one, 217-pound Philadelphia, Pa. native started the team’s first six games of the season, making 24 catches for 245 yards and two touchdowns. He signed with the Argos as a free agent this past off-season.

The 31-year-old spent the first four years of his CFL career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, winning Grey Cups in 2019 and 2021. He caught a total of 180 passes for 2,072 yards and 20 touchdowns over 54 regular season games with the team.

The Redblacks (7-2-1) will visit the B.C. Lions (5-6) on Saturday, Aug. 31 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
