Canadian DL Neville Gallimore signs with Los Angeles Rams

Canadian defensive lineman Neville Gallimore has already found a new team.

After being released by the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, Gallimore flew to Los Angeles to sign with the Rams, according to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler.

The six-foot-two, 305-pound defender was a third-round pick, 82nd overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys coming out of the University of Oklahoma.

He dressed for 52 regular season games over four seasons with the team and made 14 starts, recording 90 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, and three pass knockdowns — earning $4.7 million USD total.

The Ottawa native became a full-time starter with the Sooners in his junior year, recording 79 tackles and seven sacks over his final two collegiate seasons. He also forced five fumbles and knocked down two passes during his NCAA career.

The 27-year-old produced strong numbers at the NFL Combine in 2020, posting 23 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press and a 4.79-second forty-yard dash.

Gallimore’s exclusive CFL rights belong to the Saskatchewan Roughriders after being selected in the eighth round of the 2020 CFL Draft.
