Philadelphia Eagles waive Canadian OL Anim Dankwah

The Philadelphia Eagles have waived Canadian offensive lineman Anim Dankwah.

The native of Brampton, Ont. went unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft and signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He spent five collegiate seasons at Howard University in Washington, D.C., appearing in 39 games and establishing himself as a three-year starter at left tackle.

Dankwah allowed a career-low 11 pressures and two sacks over 11 games at left tackle as a senior in 2022. He was named first-team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, building off a second-team selection in 2022.

The six-foot-eight, 353-pound blocker was the largest offensive lineman in attendance at the NFL Combine. He posted a 27.5-inch vertical jump and put up 24 reps on the bench at the event and ran a 5.44-second forty-yard dash, 5.21-second three-cone, and 8.46-second three-cone drill at his pro day.

Dankwah’s CFL rights belong to the Toronto Argonauts, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2024 CFL Draft.

NFL teams were required to make their final cuts on Tuesday, Aug. 27 ahead of the regular season.
