The 32-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in the Alouettes Week 6 loss to the Toronto Argonauts and hasn’t seen game action since. Fajardo dressed in last week’s duel with the Saskatchewan Roughriders but did not play.
In the seven games the Brea, Ca. native has suited up for, he threw for 1,636 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.
In Fajardo’s absence, quarterback Davis Alexander has performed well, winning all three games he started. The 25-year-old has completed 71.5 percent of his passes for 972 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception through four games played.
The 26-year-old re-joined Montreal this week after being released by the Atlanta Falcons. In his rookie season last year, Mack finished fifth in the CFL with 1,154 receiving yards, while also snagging 78 catches and four touchdowns. His play was good enough to earn him East Division all-star and CFL all-star honours in 2023.
The Alouettes (9-1) will play host to the Edmonton Elks (3-7) on Sunday, Aug. 25, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
