Former Hamilton Tiger-Cats DL Kobe Jones signs with New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have signed former Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive lineman Kobe Jones following a successful workout, according to a report from Aaron Wilson.

The six-foot-three, 255-pound defender was released from the Ticats’ practice roster on Aug. 13. Jones dressed for six games with Hamilton this season, making two defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, and one sack.

The 26-year-old’s last NFL stint came with the Carolina Panthers, dressing for one regular season game in 2022. He previously spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Falcons.

The Starkville, Miss. native played 49 NCAA games at Mississippi State University, recording 100 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-8) visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (4-6) on Friday, Aug. 23 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
