Toronto Argonauts’ linebacker Wynton McManis has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 6 by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 90.6.

The veteran defender made four defensive tackles and one interception to help lead the Boatmen to a 37-18 upset victory over the Montreal Alouettes. He returned his interception for a touchdown, recording his fourth career defensive score.

The 29-year-old has now made 27 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one sack, and one interception through five games, helping lead the team to a 3-2 start.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ receiver Ontaria Wilson was the highest-graded offensive player of the week with a mark of 90.5. The rookie out of Florida State made 13 catches for 201 yards and one touchdown to help his team beat the Calgary Stampeders. His receptions total tied for second all-time in club history for a single-game performance.

The Blue Bombers also had the highest-graded offensive line of the week, earning a group grade of 67.2. The unit of Stanley Bryant, Liam Dobson, Chris Kolankowski, Patrick Neufeld, and Eric Lofton allowed two sacks but helped Brady Oliveira rush for 109 yards on 15 carries, while Chris Streveler scored a touchdown on a short plunge.

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
