The Calgary Stampeders have brought back American defensive back Meiko Dotson.
The five-foot-eleven, 195-pound native of Daytona Beach, Fla. was in training camp with the Stamps and participated in both of the team’s preseason games, recording one defensive tackle.
The 27-year-old participated in rookie minicamp with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2022 before a stint with the New Jersey Generals of the USFL during which he made 14 tackles.
Dotson played two collegiate seasons at Florida State, making 21 tackles and one forced fumble over 10 games. He was named first-team All-Conference at Florida Atlantic in 2019 following stints at Georgia Tech and Garden City Community College.
The Calgary Stampeders (2-3) will host the B.C. Lions (5-1) on Sunday, July 21 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT.
