Zach Collaros returns to practice with Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Zach Collaros was a full participant in practice with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Monday.

The 35-year-old passer missed last week’s win over the Ottawa Redblacks due to a thorax injury. Before the game, head coach Mike O’Shea said Collaros was close to being ready to go but felt it was “not the right move” for him to play. He sustained the injury the week prior on a hit from Josiah Coatney of the Calgary Stampeders.

The two-time CFL Most Outstanding Player has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 796 yards and four interceptions through four starts this season.

Chris Streveler threw for 127 yards and ran the ball 13 times for 79 yards and one touchdown against Ottawa, leading the Blue Bombers to their first win of the season.

Brady Oliveira (shoulder) and Stanley Bryant (hip) didn’t participate in practice on Monday, while Adam Bighill (shoulder) was limited.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1-4) will host the Calgary Stampeders (2-2) at Princess Auto Stadium on Friday, July 12 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
