The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have listed quarterback Zach Collaros as questionable for Friday’s game due to a thorax injury.
The 35-year-old passer was injured during his team’s recent matchup with the Calgary Stampeders, sitting out the entire second half. He completed eight-of-twelve pass attempts for 55 yards and one interception in the 22-19 overtime loss.
Collaros did not practice with the Blue Bombers this week.
The two-time CFL M.O.P. is off to a slow start to the season, completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 796 yards and four interceptions. Injuries to the team’s receiving corps have undoubtedly played a role in the quarterback’s struggles as Kenny Lawler and Dalton Schoen are both on the six-game injured list.
Winnipeg has also listed receiver Jeremy Murphy (hip), offensive lineman Tui Eli (hip), defensive lineman TyJuan Garbutt (ankle), and defensive backs Evan Holm (calf) and Noah Hallett (hip) as questionable.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (0-4) will host the Ottawa Redblacks (2-1) on Friday, July 5 with kickoff slated for 8:30 p.m. EDT.
