The Edmonton Elks have signed Canadian defensive back Josh Hagerty.
The six-foot-three, 200-pound native of Regina, Sask. was a sixth-round pick in the 2021 CFL Draft out of the University of Saskatchewan by the Toronto Argonauts. He played 31 regular season games over three seasons with the team, recording 23 defensive tackles, 16 special teams tackles, and one forced fumble.
The 25-year-old played 26 collegiate games with the Saskatchewan Huskies, making 72 tackles, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. He won a Hardy Cup with the team in 2018.

The Edmonton Elks (0-1) will host the Montreal Alouettes (1-0) at Commonwealth Stadium on Friday, June 14 with kickoff slated for 9:00 p.m. EDT.
