Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign former Calgary defensive back Jonathan Moxey

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed veteran defensive back Jonathan Moxey.

The 29-year-old played 16 games for the Calgary Stampeders in 2023, recording 18 defensive tackles and one interception. He was released by the team last month.

The five-foot-ten, 188-pound native of West Palm Beach, Fla. played 50 career games over four seasons with the Stampeders, making 60 defensive tackles, eight special teams tackles, three interceptions, one fumble recovery, and one defensive touchdown. He was named a West Division all-star in 2022.

The Tiger-Cats will open their regular season on Friday, June 7 when they visit the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
